Yes, I'm all for preserving old customs. But that doesn't mean I'm not open for new cultures, new ideas. Those are two different things. And most old customs aren't as old as you might think... If I'd dive into Swedish customs, and research the history of them, I bet I'd find almost all of those customs originally come from another country. And I bet it's the same thing with Russia.
