Part 8 - Getting Edge to the Underground

Before you go on to the cave, take a peek inside the castle. It's loaded with treasure. Ff course it's all hidden. Make sure to fall in to this black hole here because a cave of more chests is down there.
Also in the throne room there are secret passages on the left and the right side.
After you sacked the castle, get on the hovercraft and head west a bit over rocks to this cave. There is also a lot of hidden treasure here so make sure to get it.
It seems that the people of the castle Eblana have migrated down here once their home was destroyed. You can rest here and buy some stuff if you're down on items. The people here talk about a prince who leads them but went on in the caves.
You'll come across a bunch of guys on the ground who say that the prince went on to into the caves. The party comes across a man who is fighting the last of the four fiends.
Edge here proves to be useful with his ninja magic, but gets defeated. Rubicante, having too much honor to kill him, leaves.
Edge is fallen but comes back up once Rosa casts Cure 2 on him. He tells about his parents being killed and the whole town being forced underneath....
Edge then joins the party. You now have permanent party members, you will find no one else. Continue on forward.
The Tower of Babil lays ahead, and the monsters here aren't very tough, so it shouldn't be a problem. Make sure to pick up all the tresure along the way. When you come across an axe, don't equip Cecil with it until after the battle with Rubicante.
At the top of the tower the party meets up with Edge's parents. They are deformed now because of Dr. Lugeie's experiments. It doesn't matter if you attack them because after a few rounds they will revert back to their original forms and leave.
Then the only thing left is to beat Rubicante. He's the only one of the four fiends with some sense of honor, so he won't fight you at half strength. Don't worry about going back to heal up because he will do it once you fight him.
This battle isn't that hard. He has a huge number of HP, but Cain is the key here. His jumps do 4000-6000 damage. It depends if he's facing you or facing away to how much damage he will take. Don't cast any attack magic at all (including Edge's ninja magic), because it will heal him. Make sure to keep Cain's HP up. Have Rydia use high potions on characters in need because you won't need her to do anything else. Have Cecil attack or Cure 2 depending if you need to. Rubicante will cast Fire 2 on the whole party constantly causing about 100 HP of damage each time. You don't really need to worry about that, but about his dark fire attack which kills one character. Revive them with PhoenixDown or Life. Have Edge attack if you want but it won't do much help.
Again, he is the only one with honor, congratulating you on your win.
The rest of the warriors for Eblana come now offering their assistance. Edge turns them down so they leave. The crystals are just up ahead....
But instead, walking forward, you will fall down a trap door.
You will come out on the underground part of the tower of Babil. These are the same monsters so it shouldn't be any trouble. Just continue down a bit.
The party discovers an enemy airship which Edge names Falcon. This is your second airship, but now stuck in the underworld.
