| The first thing you should do in Toad Town is head to Merluvlee's house and grab the Jammin' Jelly from the mysterious chest. |  |

Now go visit Merlon, and you'll see a Ninji visiting. The Ninji will tell you that Merle, Merlon's son, who lives in Starborn Valley needs to talk to you, and that you must go through the Shiver Region to get to Starborn Valley. |
| Take care of any business you have in Toad Town, and go down into the sewers. One screen to the right of the shortcut to Yoshi's Village is a field of spikes. You can use Lakilester to cross them now. |  |

Continue along this path as far as you can go, and eventually you'll find a chest containing the Ultra Boots. With these, your jump attack power goes up, and you'll be able to do Tornado Jumps. |
| To leave the room, Tornado Jump directly under this brick. You'll notice that you get more air from this jump than a Spin Jump, so you'll be able to break higher bricks. |  |

The room just to the right of the Ultra Boots room is an excellent place to hone your Tornado Jumping skills. Be sure to grab the Life Shroom in the hidden chest as well. |
| In the room in the sewers with the pipe leading to Cheat Rippo's, you'll notice a series of hidden blocks that make a bridge across the gap. Now that you have the Ultra Boots, you can reach these blocks by Tornado Jumping. Reveal all the blocks and cross the gap. Open the door on the other side and go down the pipe. |  |

You'll end up in an icy area of the sewers. On the far left is an Ultra Block. Take the pipe on the far right to begin Chapter 7. |
